Today I wanted to go over how affiliate earning works. There are several different formats, time lines, and pay periods that make it frustrating to understand. Hopefully, by the end of this article you will get the knowledge you need to understand many different aspects of making money online through affiliate programs. It can go a long way in deciding which program to choose.

Getting into Downlines

There are so many different kinds of downlines we don’t know where to start. You have binary trees, matrix setups, 1up programs, and many others that have their own unique styles of making affiliates money. However, that shouldn’t be your main concern. What you need to focus on is just simply getting others to be underneath you and building a team. Doing so will give you a lot of back-end money in the long run.

Pay Periods

When you get into affiliate earning, you need to know when you’ll be paid. It’s one of the first things we do after checking out a company, business, or service we’re interested in promoting. See, there are some that will pay weekly, some that will pay monthly, and even a few that will pay daily. The idea is to get the involved with the best company and at the same time get a pay scale that will work for your financial situation.

Oh, and there are also companies that hold your money until you reach a certain threshold. Clickbank is a prime example as well as Google AdSense. One won’t payout until you reach $100, and the other makes you sell 5 products to make sure there isn’t any funny business going on by separating sales with Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal.

What Programs to Pass On

Granted you are going to make your own decision, but we have to throw our two cents in there when it comes to the money. Matrix setups are completely ridiculous when you get involved with a company that is brand new. By the time you reach level 7 or whatever their peak is to be paid, they could already be out of business and you’ve spent a monthly fee being involved with their program. Just a thought, but one that shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Whatever you decide to do, just find something that works for you. If you trust it, that’s all that matters.
