WordPress Themes and How to Pick Them

Are you trying to figure this whole blogging thing out? Did you know your WordPress theme can be changed and should be changed?

I know when I was first starting out blogging…I had no clue how to change my theme. I kinda figured they other blogs that I had been to cost the blogger tons of money for their look.

Boy was I wrong…

I found out that you can easily change your WordPress theme to be almost anything you want and it’s all free. No cost. No mula.

Hey…if it’s free, it’s for me.

Of course, the WordPress theme of choice should be one that complements your writing and should work with the content that is on your blog site. If you have a blog about kittens, don’t use a theme that has pictures of boats.

Make sense?

I feel silly saying it but you have to take some time to figure out the best blog theme for your site. You want to make sure it has a good color scheme and the layout works with the content as well as your highly targeted ads.

I know it is tempting to go with the highly colorful blog themes and themes that have the great contrasts but that can actually work against you. Can you really sit there and look at that color scheme for the next 5 minutes without losing your mind?

What do you think is happening with your readers?

You must make time to consider the proper WordPress Theme for your blog. This will go a long way to providing your viewers a more enjoyable reading experience and not make you look unprofessional. If that is what you are going for anyway.

I know some people don’t change their WordPress theme because they don’t know how.

Problem solved…

Log in to your WordPress control panel. After you have logged in, click the link that says “Themes.” From here you can add new themes to your site and change them out as often as you like. I would like to warn you that you may have to do a little FTP action in order to get this done…but that is a breeze as well.

You can even have different themes for different posts! Definitely cool stuff.

I posted an article on this very thing. I walk the reader through the steps of getting that

I highly recommend going with your own hosting for a lot of different reasons. I also show you how to do just that in other posts on my blog. It’s kind of like a mini how to for getting a blog started and marketing your WordPress blog.

Take some time to learn more about starting up your blog the right way.
